Players Against Cancer is back for its third consecutive year of partnering with Duke Cancer Institute! This year, our donations will go to the Duke Cancer Patient Support Program where every dollar truly counts.
The date for PAC is Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 2-6 pm at Hollow Rock Racquet and Swim Club. Our format will be a social round robin for both tennis and pickleball players 18 years and older. Niccolo Vercellino will assign the courts based on USTA ratings to create a fun and competitive experience for all participants.
In addition to court time, PAC will provide food, beverages, tennis and pickleball exhibitions, the ever popular Wine Pull and an incredible Silent Auction! A new feature this year is the ability to purchase “Mulligans” to make your time on court even more fun and challenging! Please use the tab in the upper right hand corner of the website home page , then choose “About” and “Event Details” for more information about the PAC event and Mulligans!
Registration is now open by using either the QR code or the website address which are both on the flyer. The cost is $60 per player and $25 per spectator. Space is limited to 64 tennis and 32 pickleball players.

On Saturday March 29 from 2-4pm, we will host a Ratings Day. Coach Tracey will be onsite to run some mini drills and match play and you will get a USAP rating. Tracey is certified to rate players.

Ready for a fun evening at one of your favorite local spots? PAC’s second annual “Pub Night” will be held at the West 94th Street Pub (also known as The Pub) on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 6-8 PM. The Pub is located at 4711 Hope Valley Road in the Woodcroft Shopping Center.
Niccolo, will serve as a celebrity bartenders from 6:30-7:30 PM and all of their tips will go to benefit the Patient Support Program of Duke Cancer Institute.
There will also be a fabulous raffle! Tickets are 3/$10 or buy a “sleeve” for $20! Cash or credit card will be accepted. The raffle drawing will be held at 7:30 and you must be present to win!
We are excited to announce a brand new Adult Tennis Camp the weekend of March 14-16 with Clark, Gonzo and Niccolo who will run this event.
Get ready for a fun-filled weekend of tennis with expert instruction and high-energy drills! This camp will feature stroke production drills, doubles strategy sessions, live-action drills, cardio tennis, and video analysis to enhance your doubles game. We’ll wrap up with a fun mixed doubles mini-tournament! Saturday lunch is included.
This camp will span across three days, Friday March 14 5:30-7:30pm, Saturday March 15 9:00am-3:00pm with an included lunch, and Sunday March 16 9:00am-12:00pm.
You must sign up to participate for the full weekend (all three days). Spots are limited to 24 players (8 at each level). Members can sign up in your member portal.

This March, Hollow Rock is partnering with Abilities Tennis of NC, an incredible organization that provides tennis clinics and fun tournaments for individuals with intellectual disabilities ages 8 and up. For more information about Abilities Tennis Association of NC, see their website here.
Hollow Rock will be hosting a series of clinics, starting with a volunteer training session on March 9th from 3–5 PM. If you would like to volunteer with this valuable organization, please register with the link below.

Our annual ladies lunch returns this Valentine's Day, Friday February 14. The event starts at 10:30am with a ladies tennis mixer and a ladies pickleball mixer. Both mixers will be led by one of our teaching pros with organized play. Following the mixers, there will be a lunch catered by Nuvo Taco. We will have door prizes and goodie bags for everyone who attends.
Cost is $25 per person for the mixer and/or lunch. By attending the event your name will be placed in the raffle for door prizes. If you join the tennis or pickleball mixer but cannot stay for lunch, your name will be entered in the raffle and you can take a goodie bag before you leave. If you cannot attend the tennis or pickleball portion of the event, you can register for the "lunch only".
We had a blast with this event last year, and hope to see everyone again!
You do not need to be a tennis or pickleball player to attend the lunch. Lunch is for all ladies at the club.

On Saturday November 16 we will host a parents night out so our members can take an evening to enjoy a nice meal or watch a movie while the kids spend some time at the club playing games and enjoying pizza.
Cost is $30 per child, and $5 for additional siblings. You can register the kids in your member portal, if you register multiple kids, please e-mail info@hollowrock.com so we can adjust the pricing.
